Dear friends --

We've been waiting a while to announce these two projects but at last we can because they are live!

  1. We've been working for over a year with Facing History and Ourselves, the nation's leading curriculum developer in post-conflict, genocide and social justice issues, to create a curriculum module, "War is Only Half the Story." It features the work of several grant winners and finalists -- Kathryn Cook, Danny Wilcox Frazier, Carlos Javier Ortiz, Pep Bonet, Rodrigo Abd, and myself. The curriculum uses images from each photographer's project to help build visual literacy skills and to explore aftermath issues.

The curriculum can be used by anyone, for free, and is online at:

Our sincere thanks to the Compton Foundation for funding this collaboration with Facing History. This is the most significant step we've taken to date in fulfilling the educational part of our mission.

2. Our first iPad app is now available in the iTunes store. You can find it by searching "Aftermath 4" -- it's an enhanced version of our most recent volume, War is Only Half the Story, Vol 4. It sells for $8.99 and was developed by designer David Gross.

Special thanks to PhotoWings (http://www.photowings.org) for funding the creation of this app.

Thank you, as always, for your interest and support --

Sara Terry
Director/Founder
