Aftermath Project Video

Almost ten years after I first had the idea to start The Aftermath Project, we've finally got a new website. Made possible by a matching grant from the National Endowment for the Arts, the generosity of PhotoWings and a wonderful helping hand from our Kickstarter supporters, this website is a place we hope you'll visit often.

You can see the work of our grant winners and finalists since our first year of granting in 2007; you can explore curriculum that we developed with Facing History and Ourselves; and you can join the conversation by making your own aftermath-inspired contributions to our online book. We'll be blogging from time to time, and adding new content, as we continue to support photographers through our grant program. You can also purchase all of our books here -- a library that will continue to grow as we publish a new book each year.

A special shout-out to Jon Vidar and his team at Uncharted Digital for all the work and creativity that went in to creating this site, and the care they took in striving to ensure that the site itself resonates with The Aftermath Project's purpose and goals.

War is indeed only half the story -- with your help, we're telling more and more of the other half every day, and you'll be able to find it here.
